Welcome to Shandon Park Golf Club, Belfast

Shandon Park Golf Club is a gem of a parkland golf course, situated in the leafy suburbs of East Belfast and located just fifteen minutes (3 miles) from Belfast city centre. Consistently regarded as having the best parkland greens in Northern Ireland, the course combines a tough championship layout with some beautifully sculptured holes, great views of the city,  and challenging greens.  With its clubhouse rebuilt in 2000, it is the envy of many clubs in Ireland and has a very welcoming lounge, bar and restaurant, all with views over the course.  All perfect places to retreat to, to enjoy the craic and reflect on the day’s golf.

The Club has a rich history in providing winning teams both in Senior Cup and Barton Shield in Ireland, and has been successful twice as European Club Winners.  In recent years the Club and course have hosted the All Ireland Cups & Shields in 2007 and the Ladies British Amateur Open Strokeplay Championship in August 2012. In August 2013 we look forward to playing host to golfers from around the world in the World Police & Fire Games.

Shandon Park can also boast nine winners of the North of Ireland Championship, eight of them winning it twice! The other winner, Michael Hoey also went on to represent GB & Ireland in the Walker Cup before turning Pro and is presently four-time winner on the European Tour.

For those who are travelling from further afield, the Club is easily accessible by road and is close to the Belfast ferry terminal and even closer to Belfast City Airport.  There is also a great range of good hotels nearby to suit all needs and budgets.
